Sometimes I know the decision to make. God quickly tells me what to do. Other times, I feel like God has placed me in a maze and my job is to find Him and His Will. I’ve made big decisions with such certainty that I knew God was leading me. I’ve also made decisions where I wonder if I moved ahead of God, only to regret it. Sometimes I feel like I pray and pray and pray, only to still have no answer. What does God want from me? I can ask Him to show me what to have for lunch and I can ask Him which house to buy. He has all the answers. But am I tuned in to His frequency? Is it that He isn’t answering or am I not hearing Him? Lord, help me to hear You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Amplified Bible (AMP)
5 Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart
And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
6 In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him,
And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].
“If you have arrived at your decision with the sincere intention of pleasing the heart of God, incorporating biblical principles and wise counsel, you can proceed with confidence knowing that God will work out his purposes through your decision.” ~ Mary Fairchild, Writer
James 1:5 Amplified Bible (AMP)
5 If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.
