Summer kissed ice

How’s the saying goes…It’s always the quiet ones.

Not in a million years you’d call her that.

She loves to be on a display; in the centre of the storm.

She’s the joker. She’s the actress. She’s the top hat.

She wears her heart on her sleeve; her naivety charms,

Populace glues to her with an unnerving ease.

She’s the woman who radiates bliss, and is warm,

Like a deliciously gentle summer breeze.

No one guesses before it’s to late to go back,

That she’s a winter child by birth and by heart.

It’s always the quiet ones – the saying goes,

She the Ice Queen ruling summer-kissed shores.
