Just Hold On
Dear past me, I hope you know I’ve forgiven you for the naive mistakes you’ve made. I wish you knew better. Or, maybe you did, but you were too blinded by curiosity to see the consequences or outcome of your actions?
Dear present me, I hope you learn to love yourself. I hope you know it’s okay to make mistakes, learn from them and grow from them. I hope you know it’s okay to not have everything figured out. You’re not alone. Countless hours spent doing nothing due to lack of motivation or feeling too down and lacking strength to complete simple tasks.
Take those baby steps. You can’t leap to success. The pace at which you move doesn’t matter. As long as you’re moving, you deserve a pat on the back. Quit worrying about tomorrow and live today. Tomorrow’s problems will come. Quit over thinking. What’s meant to be will be and what’s not, is not bound to happen.
Dear future me, you will be strong. You will be okay. You will be happy. Your past experiences and scars will be a testimony that you go through pain and you grow through it.
Whatever is worrying you now, will be nothing but a joke because you will overcome it among greater things. You will experience a profound feeling of peace; inner peace and among people, pride that you overcame the obstacles that seemed like humongous mountains.
Don’t lose yourself in your trail of thoughts. It works out, eventually. Hold on until the time comes. Hold on until your time comes.
