Freedom From Fallacy

I sometimes wonder how most of us live the life of fallacy. A life full of false pride, immense ego and a lot of mistaken beliefs. We believe that we are the ones who are responsible for how our day will unfold, which path our life will take and what will we do the next moment.

It is true that God has created us and has given us the freedom to act but the bigger truth is that the graph of our life is already drawn , the life diary already written . So the fact is, we are put into predicated situations and are given freedom to act and it depends entirely on our will as to how we act . Whether we remain grounded and try to act with the best of our ability with all the consciousness , try to be good to all or we choose to be selfish and have a self-centered approach, not caring about how others feel, is completely in our hands without any interference from God.

There is a common example or instance I would like to refer here. There are times when a servant or a needy acquaintance asks us for some food, cooked vegetable or water but we plainly refuse, in spite of having them in ample quantity. We either say that the things are unavailable or are being consumed by us. Instead of sharing it with that person,we save the things for another meal ; how extremely avaricious .We refuse somebody water because we feel we might not be left with enough for us. Do we ever pay a heed to how mean and shameful our such acts are?

It is really sad that we indulge in such acts and are living a life of false and insensible beliefs. The belief of superiority over the needy, the belief that we will always keep living in our present stage, the belief that we will survive the next moment and the belief that nothing bad will happen to us; it is only for others.

In reality, we are extremely foolish when we try to save something for another time, not once realizing that  we might not live to consume what we had not shared with someone needy at that moment. We never realize that the things we are keeping for us may remain lying in front of us and we might be rendered physically unfit to be able to consume them. So ideally, whenever someone comes to us for a realistic help we should try to help in the best possible way at that very moment, as who knows whether God will give us another chance to help or not.

All our lives we keep accumulating things which might not be of use to us, but find it extremely difficult to share it with the one in need. Have we ever realize that we purposelessly dump the things which we know are of no use to us but refuse to share it with others who can’t afford it but are in dire need of it ?

We must understand that we are not on this planet for eternity and all of us  have to go one day. Another truth is that no body on this earth knows when his/her end will come, so it is of grave importance that we should live in the moment and never refuse the one in need, the things which are there in our reach. Instead of trying to save things for another moment we should instantly help someone with those things because we might not get a chance to act as per our plans. Try and be as helpful as possible considering that neither yours nor the situation of the one in need is permanent.

Hence, living like this will be the right way of living a life of realism and truthfulness. Live each day as it is your last and never forget that it is because of the grace of God that you are in such a comfortable state ;a state where you could be a support to others . So try to cash in this situation for mutual benefit , as the good acts will reap positive results for you too. Realize this and  live a virtuous life of helping others in the best of your ability.
