“I wish we could stay like this forever.”

She looked at him incredulously,  “We have been stuck here in traffic for over an hour and you want to stay like this forever”?

He laughed, ” If it means that I can look at you all my life, then yes”.

She blushed, ” You are mad.”

“About you”, came the reply.

She buried her face in her hands, ” I give up”.

” On us? So soon? I won’t let you”.

She glared at him as the cars behind them started to honk. They looked up to see the traffic finally moving.

” Let’s go before you decide to build a house in the middle of the road “.

Maybe not here, maybe not today, but we will have our own home one day”, he thought.

He was 19, she was 18. Ten years later, on their wedding day, he carried her across the threshold of their new home.
