Mind of a Poet #20

And with my one eye, separate from the normal optic nerves,

A third eye, so to speak, that sees feelings and speaks words,

With my eye I spy people who never express their hearts,

A mind that never sleeps, rests, but is always in control of every part,

Situations that don’t involve logic or reasoning develop every day,

However with some lives, brain waves only get in the way,

Peace of mind, nirvana is the term quite a few adore,

Yet within their prize lasts not the undying Amor,

Nyx is not loved but feared more than most,

A brilliant mother, a lovely goddess, hated from coast to coast,

And when that understanding fails and the brain works,

Who am I to tell you where your truth lurks.
