Ever since his debut, Virat Kohli has been defining new terms in the game of cricket. He is a batsman par excellence, a fielder better than the best, and also a good leader. Though the leadership has taken some toll on him, but it hasn’t affected his batting much.
He has set new records every time he has come out to bat. Especially in the last 18 months or so, he has been in his prime and has played every bowler from every nation in every country, in a way like no other. Even in the ongoing series in South Africa, he has outplayed everyone else. No matter the nationality, everyone adores him. Everyone wants to watch him bat for any length of time.
He makes it look so simple.
He has been in a great form throughout this series as well. While all the other Indian batsmen have found it difficult to make a mark, Virat Kohli has been a league of his own. He has played every single ball with such precision and class that it has made everyone sit there in awe of him and watch him as he takes down the bowlers.
In the 4th ODI, Virat led his team to a fighting total and ultimately a comprehensive victory. While doing so, he scored a glorious 160 runs. And today, in the 6th and final match of the series, with already having won the series, India are chasing a target of 205. The chase is once again being led by the “Chase Master” Virat Kohli who is currently batting on 93. With India needing another 51 runs to win, it looks very likely that the man will once again go on to score another ton, and thus get one more step closer to the record set by the Great Sachin Tendulkar.
