The wound is the place where the light enters you!

‘‘The wound is the place where the light enters you’’, is a beautiful quote by the famous Persian poet, Rumi. The quote has a deep meaning and thus gives a profound lesson.

When we get wounded, or in other words are in trouble or are going through a rough phase in life that is the time when we are closest to the God and get the enlightenment & the awareness of HIS presence.

While we are in our good times, we tend to be in a different space, enjoying the goodies coming from all angles. We are on our own ego trip, thinking that all our well being is a result of our own acts and no one else is responsible for it. We live in our own world, which is far away from realism and thus, far off from God.

It is when the bad time starts and when we are hurt or are in our rough phase and only see darkness in our life that we look up to the Almighty and try to look for answers to our worries and problems. It is at this moment when we realize that only God and no one else can give solutions to all our woes.

The Power above, on the other hand, lets us,the human beings do what we intends to do. HE never interferes in our day to day acts and just observes everything while being present in our heart. All our problems are the result of our own karma and are thus advent, but as soon as we look for relief from the Almighty, HE helps and as a result the effect of the bad time reduces. And thus, the realization that only God is the rescuer of our problems increases our closeness to God .

Intelligent are those who understand this. But there are many who never realize this all their lives.

When we remember God in our bad times and let the light of awareness enter us, it is at that time when the enlightenment sets in. The realization that we don’t have to look for the light outside, it is inside, sinks in. And when we are able to see the light inside, all the other things seem meaningless and worthless. We start getting all our answers from within and the need to look somewhere else, just ends, changing our complete outlook .

That is when we fulfill our purpose of existence and start living a life which is worthy and  meaningful .

Sometimes wounds seal our hearts to God. Sometimes there are no wounds needed to let God in. Your article encourages both. Thank you.
