The Girl Who Went Viral Just With ‘A Wink Of An Eye’!

Priya Prakash Varrier! Yes. That is the name of the girl from the “Manikya Malaraya Poovi’s” teaser clip. She is an actress from down South. She turned into a sensation overnight and became the so called “National Crush of India” with just a “Wink of an eye”. The entire internet fraternity melted like butter on a hot pan top as soon as they saw the video. Priya Prakash became the one sided love of many boys who saw the video just 2 days before Valentine’s. It was just a matter of few hours that the teaser managed to earn 5.2 million views, and most of them being just to witness that wink. I don’t know how many out of those 5.2 million actually understood the song, or even if they watched the whole video, but all of them surely clicked on it just to watch it from the 1 minute 36 second mark and immersed themselves in the overflowing cuteness of that “Eye and brow play”. And to top it all, that innocent smile just added to the beauty of her, just like a cherry on the cake.
Oru Adaar Love, the Malayalam movie which this song belongs to has been directed by Omar Lulu. This movie stars a bunch of newcomers. Priya’s wink has ensured that the teaser has already been watched by 52 lakh people and counting. This surely is a great news for the team of Oru Adaar Love.
Wink! Wink! Wink!

Is the video made in that way because there is the opportunity today to go viral? Back in the day before social media and blogs when the incentive to go viral was less, would that wink concept have come in the director’s mind? Just wondering
